Zinga 10kg galvanizing liquid

307.44

Electroplating liquid with cathodic protection for surface application by brush, roller or spray.

With 1 kg of the product, it is possible to cover a surface of approx. 3,62 m² (taking into account the thickness of the dried coating layer of 60 µm).

ZINGA is a one-component galvanizing system that ensures long-term cathodic protection of ferrous metals.
The zinc content in the dried coating is a minimum of 96% with a zinc particle purity of 99,995% (according to ISO 3549).
The product does not contain xylene, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone or methylene chloride.
The dried layer is non-toxic and can be in contact with drinking water. Solids 58% by volume.
The matte gray metal layer dries quickly (touch dry in 10 min at 20°C) and withstands heat up to 120°C.
The protective powder layer does not crack when the metal expands and contracts and does not peel.
ZINGA is easy to apply to ferrous metal, previously hot-dip galvanized and ZINGA coated surfaces.
Used as an alternative to hot-dip galvanizing or metallization and to strengthen previously hot-dip galvanized surfaces and
for repair or as a base layer in the Duplex system (ZINGA + paint). Each applied layer of ZINGA blends into the previous one
forms a single stronger protective layer. An excellent tool for corrosion protection of hard-to-reach or large surfaces.
Store in a cool and dry place, the shelf life of the composition is unlimited.
The product contains a maximum of 500g/L (cat. A/i) of volatile organic compounds (VOC) according to the permitted EU limit.
Due to the active composition, the unopened package has an unlimited shelf life.

Substrate preparation:
Apply ZINGA to a clean, rough surface from which dirt, grease, paint, slag and salts have been removed.
ZINGA needs to make direct contact with the metal for the electrochemical reaction.
ZINGA products can be applied to rusted surfaces if all loose rust has been removed with a metal brush and the surface has been cleaned of rust dust and grease.
For cleaning, use jet cleaning with water (140 bar, 80°C) or Zingasolv.
Clean the surface to SA 2 ½ (according to ISO 8501-1) using sandblasting or blasting.
ZINGA only adheres to a roughened substrate, for better adhesion the substrate must be roughened (Rz 50-70 µm – DIN4768).
Such a high degree of cleanliness and roughness is not necessary when covering smaller, less specific and previously hot-dip galvanized surfaces.
Make sure the substrate is dust free before coating.

Application:
ZINGA must be thoroughly mixed before use (it is recommended to use a mixer).
ZINGA can be applied to the surface with a brush, roller or sprayer (normal or airless) by constantly mixing the product.
For application, the product can be diluted with Zingasolv to achieve the required viscosity
(up to 5% when applied by brush, roller or airless spray and up to 15% when sprayed with air).
White spirit is not suitable for dilution, do not use White Spirit!
For use as a stand-alone system, a dried protective layer of 120-180 µm thickness is applied to the surface of ZINGA in two layers.
The second layer is applied to the surface 1 hour after the first one becomes dry to the touch.
When used as a duplex system (ZINGA + paint), ZINGA is applied to the surface in one layer (maximum 60-80 µm thick dried protective layer).
ZINGA can be covered with most fast-drying paints (oil, tar, epoxy, polyurethane, vinyl, iron oxide and other paints).
It is recommended to let the substrate dry for up to 72 hours before repainting and to test the suitability of the paint on a small surface beforehand.
In order to avoid the reaction of the base layer during repainting, a thin layer of paint should be applied first, let it dry and
then apply a paint layer of the required thickness to the surface. It is recommended to cover the edges, bolts and welded joints separately in advance.
ZINGA can be applied at temperatures from -10°C to 40°C with humidity up to 95%. More information on the technical data card.

Highly flammable. May cause long-term damage to the aquatic environment.
Keep out of reach of children and away from sources of ignition - no smoking.
Avoid inhalation of aerosol. Use in well-ventilated rooms.
Follow the instructions for use/safety requirements. Do not spray on open flame or glowing material.

Description

Zinga 10kg galvanizing liquid

Electroplating liquid with cathodic protection for surface application by brush, roller or spray

With 1 kg of the product, it is possible to cover a surface of approx. 3,62 m² (taking into account the thickness of the dried coating layer of 60 µm).

ZINGA single component electroplating system

Areas of use

ZINGA is easy to apply to ferrous metal, previously hot-dip galvanized and ZINGA coated surfaces. Used as an alternative to hot-dip galvanizing or metallization and to strengthen and repair previously hot-dip galvanized surfaces or as an undercoat in the Duplex system (ZINGA color). Each applied layer of ZINGA blends with the previous one
