A small and handy infrared thermometer allows non-contact measurement of surface temperatures with one simple push of a button. An infrared thermometer can be used to measure cold/hot surfaces and surfaces that are dangerous to humans.
The device consists of optics, temperature sensor signal amplifier, processing circuit and LCD screen. The optics collect the infrared energy emitted by the device and focus it on the sensor. The sensor translates the energy into an electrical signal. This signal is converted into digital after amplification and processing as can be seen on the LCD screen.
