Planting in balcony boxes

For a 1m long balcony box, you need about 20l of balcony flower soil. Use a drainage box or place clay fragments, gravel, etc. in the drain holes beforehand for drainage. This will prevent clogging of the drain holes and waterlogging in heavy rain.

Fill the balcony with soil and make a hole the size of a root ball and put the plant in it. Leave a gap of about 10 cm for the plants.

Press the soil firmly around the plants and add more soil if necessary.

Then water profusely.

Advice

• Don't forget to fertilize. In the limited space of roots, the nutrients in the soil are used up quite quickly. About 3-6 weeks after planting, the plants should be fertilized regularly. To do this, use a balcony flower fertilizer.
• Make sure the soil is constantly wet and water the plants regularly.
• Remove dried flowers and leaves so that new ones can grow.
