Boat tar is made from linseed oil, pine tar and pine turpentine. Absorbs wood and protects it from moisture, mold and contamination. Forms an airy and water-repellent surface on wood.
Suitable for log buildings, boats, garden furniture and patios. Not suitable for varnished or painted surfaces.
The treated surfaces must be cleaned of old treatment agents. Do not dilute the boat tar. Mix the tar thoroughly before and during use. Apply a thin layer to the surface with a brush or cloth and let it dry, wipe off the excess tar from the surface within 1 hour. Between treatments of wooden surfaces, lightly sand the treated surfaces, then apply a new coat of tar. Apply 2-4 coats depending on the surface and the area of use.
The moisture content of the wood must be below 15% and the relative humidity below 80%.
Consumption: 1 liter / 2-5 m² (sawn), 1 liter / 5-10 m² (log and planed wood).
Clean the brushes with turpentine.
