What is baking soda?

It is sodium bicarbonate, which is known in particular as a raising agent in baked goods.

Baking soda reacts with acid to form bubbles and release gaseous carbon dioxide, which causes the dough to rise.

Besides household chemicals, soda is a cheaper way to clean your home.
